Queen has achieved a major milestone with their Greatest Hits album, marking the relevance of 90s hits to this day.
The band’s compilation album is its best-selling one to date, containing tracks such as Bohemian Rhapsody, I Want to Break Free, We Will Rock You, Killer Queen and others.
As per a new report by Forbes, “Greatest Hits by Queen has now led the charge on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart for 208 weeks. That is exactly four years.”
“Again, 52 frames at the summit of any of Billboard’s albums rosters, be they focused on sales, streams, or general consumption, is the type of accomplishment that only a very small group of names in music history would have even a shot at matching, and four years is nearly unheard of,” the report adds.
The album has been on top of the Hard Rock albums list, and eventually became the most consumed one in the nation.
Greatest Hits was the runner-up to Into Oblivion by Lamb of God but then dethroned it to regain its long-reigning spot at number 1, proving its status as an evergreen album with a rare commercial performance.
