Kanye West has been chosen to headline all three nights of the 2026 Wireless Fest, marking his first appearance back since 2014.
The rapper is set to perform at Finsbury Park in London, which has received a statement from the current mayor of the city, Sadiq Khan.
In a press statement, the politician’s spokesperson stated, “We are clear that the past comments and actions of this artist are offensive and wrong, and are simply not reflective of London’s values. This was a decision taken by the festival organizers and not one that City Hall is involved in.”
The remark refers to the past controversies of the Runaway rapper, such as associating with the white supremacist commentator Nick Fuentes as well as his history of anti-Semitic rants and actions over the years.
Kanye, who now goes by Ye, has apologised for them and revealed that his actions were because he lost touch with reality as a result of his mental health issues and a frontal lobe injury he sustained after a car crash in 2002.
The Bully creator has also two exclusive, sold-out concerts at the Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium lined up in upcoming days, indicating that he still sustains a large fan base despite condemnable actions.
