Freddie Mercury’s 'secret' daughter dies at 48

Freddie Mercury’s rumoured daughter, whose identity was disclosed only few months ago, has passed away at the age of 48.

The family of the late woman announced her death as she passed away after a long battle with cancer on January 15.

The woman, known as Bibi, passed away after a battle with a rare cancer. 

Reportedly, the late rock star called her “Bibi” as well as “trésor,” meaning treasure in French.

In 2025, long after the death of Queen singer, author Lesley Ann Jones claimed that Bibi was his secret daughter in the biography Love, Freddie, released in the summer of 2025.

Bibi came out claiming to be the late Queen star’s daughter, conceived during an affair with his friend’s wife.

It is pertinent to mention that, reportedly, the band’s songs Bijou and Don't Try So Hard were subject to her.

As per Bibi, the veteran maintained a good relationship with Freddie until he passed away in 1991 after a long illness with AIDS.

According to Daily Mail, the late woman’s widower Thomas disclosed that she died, “peacefully after a long battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer, leaving two sons aged nine and seven”.

“B is now with her beloved and loving father in the world of thoughts. Her ashes were scattered to the wind over the Alps.” He added.

The writer evidently penned that Freddie Mercury had Bibi after an affair in 1976 and had DNA reports to back her claim.
