BTS’ V recently opened up about his past, leaving his fans emotional amid preparation for the Arirang Tour.
The singer is set to embark on the upcoming tour in support of his band’s new album, Arirang, as he is currently busy with different work projects as well.
During his appearance on Jung Jae Hyung’s YouTube channel on March 29, V revealed how the process of him becoming an Idol took place.
The Singularity hit maker gushed, “When I was young, I liked it when adults would clap and say I looked pretty when I danced in front of them. That is why I started thinking about standing on stage.”
He also added another reason, which broke the hearts of his long-time supporters,” There was a banner… of actor Kang Dong Won, and my grandmother pointed at it and said, ‘Become someone like that.’ After hearing that, I completely accepted those words.”
He gushed that later he told his father about his decision, and learned saxophone because of his advice as well.
The Winter Bear songwriter also disclosed that his father also wanted to become a celebrity and work hard for it but, “his opportunity didn’t come, it came to me.”
The 30-year-old concluded the conversation as he praised his fans and said that they were the reason why he could achieve his dreams and thanked them for their efforts.
