Cillian Murphy reflects on iconic 'Peaky Blinders' hairstyle

Cillian Murphy has shared his thoughts on the famous haircut that became a signature of his Peaky Blinders role.

Returning as Tommy Shelby in the Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the 49-year-old actor, who appeared at the New York premiere at The DGA Theater on Tuesday, March 10, revealed how the character’s hairstyle has resonated with audiences worldwide.

During chat with PEOPLE, on whether he ever wished to return to it, he stated, "No, no, it's really humbling."

He continued, "I mean, it's really humbling to think that it's become such a phenomenon and that people all over the world."

Moreover, he added, "You know, in Buenos Aires and Turkey and Mexico and everywhere watching the show, it's amazing."

Meanwhile, the film follows Tommy and the Shelby family as they deal with the threats of World War II, while Cillian’s character returns to the fight after years out of sight.

Notably, following a limited theatrical release, the movie will be released for streaming on Netflix on March 20, 2026.
