Demi Lovato recalls unsettling moments from Disney's set

Demi Lovato, who is known for creating several chart-topping hit tracks, opened up about the time she acted on the Disney channel.

While being part of the network, the 33-year-old rose to fame with her iconic series Sony with a Chance that ran from 2009 through 2011.

However, the pop icon’s time was not always as whimsical as it seemed on the TV screen as Demi revealed the struggles of being an actress.

On Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast, the Heart attack hitmaker spilled the beans on suffering from an “eating disorder while on camera,” admitting it was “really challenging” for her.

Moreover, the Let It Go crooner “struggled with my mental health very much.” However, she also recollected some of the “very fond memories” from the period in her life.

Despite having “mixed feelings” about her time on the channel, the actress “made friends that I will have for the rest of my life.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, the songstress revealed that the network was “always pitting” the colleagues against each other by ranking “the number one girl.”

In 2006, Miley Cyrus took on iconic role in the series Hannah Montana which continued till 2011 while Selena Gomez was known for starring in the Wizards of Waverly Place.
