Mary Cosby’s son Robert Cosby Jr. dies at the age of 23

Mary Cosby is grieving the death of her son, Robert Cosby Jr., who passed away at the young age of 23.

The police had to respond to an overdose call and this escalated into a death investigation confirming that Robert was dead on February 23. 

The official cause of death is still under medical examination.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star said her son has been taken home to the Lord in a statement posted on Instagram.

The TV personality explained, “Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in God’s promise and in knowing he is finally at peace."

Moreover, the star penned that he “has been called home to the Lord,” adding, "We are grateful for your prayers and trust in the Lord to carry us through this time of sorrow.”

Andy Cohen called the news both devastatingly sad and the worst nightmare of all parents.

Bravo, the network that airs the hit “Real Housewives” franchise in a statement offered its condolence to Cosby and her family.

The show recorded Robert substance abusing and relapsing, as well as his mental health issues.

Legal problems were also encountered and he spent two months in jail until he was released earlier this month.

Notably, the 53-year-old had only a few weeks before he had thanked his fans who were praying after he returned home.

Only a few days after that release, he dies, adding to an already tragic play that was being enacted at home and on screen.
