Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo were all smiles as they were called onstage to present Outstanding British Film award during the BAFTAs.

As the entire arena was silent, the 39-year-old expressed his gratitude to present the first BAFTAs tonight when all of a sudden a voice interrupted him.

John Davidson, who suffers from Tourette syndrome, shouted “N****” due to an involuntary tic that occurred to him at the time.

John has been a an advocate for Tourette syndrome and is “nationally known ambassador for the condition.”

Delroy continued with his part of the speech as Michael stood beside him without a smile on his face.

The incident instantly became a hot topic on the internet, with people debating if the tic was “intentional” and he really meant it.

A critic penned down on X (formerly Twitter), “Calling out Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo with racial slurs, especially during Black History Month is inexcusable.”

Another netizen was of the opinion that a person suffering such condition “probably shouldn’t attend an event of this magnitude.”

Although fans demanded an apology, the nominee is yet to address the situation. However, the host of the prestigious event shared his opinion.
