Alfonso Ribeiro has candidly disclosed his intimate last moments with James Van Der Beek.

For the unversed, James Van Der Beek has passed after fighting a long battle with bowel cancer.

Tributes poured in, especially from the 1998 Dawson's Creek co-stars. The titular drama was a breakthrough for the star, as he received tremendous popularity from it.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor publicly tributed a day after he died at the early age of 48.

On February 11, the actor took to his Instagram and posted a close memory of the duo at the last moment of departure.

The image showed them forehead to forehead, following the American comedian cradling his head.

"This was taken by @vanderkimberly just a few minutes before I said my last goodbye," he wrote, tagging fellow '90s star's wife, Kimberly.

"My last moment was making him laugh one last time. I really miss him already."

He first announced his cancer diagnosis in November 2024, as he stated in a People magazine interview, “I have colorectal cancer. I’ve been privately dealing with this diagnosis."

Moreover, he had marked to "have been taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family.”

The American actor is survived by his wife and six children — Emilia, Annabel Leah, Joshua, Gwendolyn, Jeremiah and Olivia.
