Lewis Capaldi has publicly praised Taylor Swift and his fellow collaborators following the release of her new Opalite music video, marking a standout moment in the ongoing The Life of a Showgirl era.

The whimsical clip, released on February 6, 2026, features Capaldi as a quirky mall photographer and reunites a group of stars Swift met during her October 2025 appearance on The Graham Norton Show, including actors Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith and talk show host Graham Norton himself in a cameo role.

According to Daily Mail, Swift, who wrote and directed the 1990s-inspired, infomercial-style video, has called the project one of her most enjoyable creative experiences.

Moreover, the clip opens with a faux commercial for a fictional product called “Opalite,” which magically brings together two lonely characters played by Swift and Gleeson.

As per the outlet, Capaldi’s character captures light-hearted photos of the pair during a mall date sequence that plays into the retrowave nostalgia running throughout the video.

In interviews and social-media posts following the debut, Capaldi expressed gratitude for Swift’s invitation to join the project and gave a shout-out to the video’s behind-the-scenes photographer and creative team for their work in crafting the distinctive visuals.

Furthermore, fans have praised the video’s cast chemistry and imaginative storytelling, with many noting that the collaborative spirit among the ensemble added to the clip’s charm.

Swift’s Opalite video is currently streaming on Spotify and Apple Music, with a wider YouTube release set for later this week.
