Montel Williams opened up about his romantic history with Kamala Harris

In a private old picture that recently resurfaced on social media, American television host Montel Williams was seen with his arm around Kamala Harris. 

The photo took the internet by storm and gave birth to conjecture over the romantic history of the two.

Sources however suggest that Williams had already revealed that he and the vice president-elect, Kamala Harris were once in love.

“[Harris] and I briefly dated about 20 years ago when we were both single,” he shared in a tweet about a year ago.

The picture was taken in May 2001 at the Race to Erase Multiple Sclerosis gala in California. At the time, Harris was working at the Office of the City Attorney of San Francisco.

“So what? I have great respect for Sen. Harris. I have to wonder if the same stories about her dating history would have been written if she were a male candidate?” claimed Williams.

Kamala Harris, who is now wife to Doug Emhoff, parted ways with Williams on a cordial note.

With a glorious win in the US election 2020, Harris is going to be the first female vice president, as well as the first Africa- and South Asian-American person in the office.
