How to use QR codes to share Wi-Fi passwords: A step-by-step guide

Currently, with iOS 18, the Cupertino-based tech giant has extended this convenience to Wi-Fi password sharing.

While iPhone users have long been able to share Wi-Fi passwords between Apple devices when near and listed in each other’s Contacts, QR codes remove these limitations. 

This feature lets you share passwords with Android users effortlessly, and users can even screenshot the QR code to print for guests.

1. To view the QR code, first open the Passwords app and select the Wi-Fi card.
2. Now users are required to select the Wi-Fi network that they need to share with their friends.  
3. The Wi-Fi details will be displayed on the screen. Just click on the Show Network QR code.
4. The QR code will be shown on the screen. If anybody requires access to the network name and password, they are required to scan the QR code using the device’s camera.
