Why Sydney Sweeney kept her first major relationship private?

Sydney Sweeney has finally disclosed the details of her first public relationship with Jonathan Davino.

For the unversed, the Euphoria star shared a seven-and-a-half-year romance with the 42-year-old businessman.

The film producer produced two major works, Anyone But You in 2023 and Immaculate in 2024, both featuring his ex-fiancée.

The duo called off their longtime romance in March 2025; however, the pair remained on good terms as they appeared together in November 2025.

Referring to her relationship, the 28-year-old began, “for seven and a half years, and I never talked about it.”

She candidly revealed the actual reason behind her love life confidentiality, “I was very private, no one would ever see us. I think it’s important to have some things for myself.”

The 28-year-old went on to mark, “I understand that I’m a public person, but I’m still in my 20s. I’m still figuring out love."

"It's hard to do that with millions of people who have their own opinions of what that looks like," the Reality lead explained.

Sweeney spent her 20s focusing on her career, saying, "I put my head down and focused on work—and now I want to experience things.”

The Housemaid star revealed her future plans to experience love, adding, "I struggle with being alone."

As of now, it is speculated that she is dating music producer Scooter Braun, however, Sweeney hasn’t officially confirmed her relationship status.
