Mandy Patinkin gave Jonatan Bailey a few words of wisdom for the London revival of Sunday in the Park with George.
For the unversed, the 73-year-old debuted the portrayal of George in the 1984 Broadway musical.
During an interview with TODAY, the Princess Bride actor rooted for the Wicked actor, who is to play the role of George Seurat.
The Over the Rainbow crooner began his piece of advice with, "You are embarking on one of the privileges of your life."
The advice followed were "connect" and "enjoy every single second of it."
Sharing what he experienced, noted, "What James [Lapine, playwright] and Stephen [Sondheim] wrote is one of the greatest gifts of my life. The word that is the north star of my existence ... ‘Connect, George. Connect.' "
He went on to describe, “The word ‘connect,’ the music, the lyrics, the story — I just beg you to, even on your worst day, enjoy every second of it. This is as good as it gets.”
Furthermore, the veteran star noted, “I’m thrilled for them, and I’m thrilled for us.” adding, “That piece, when I did it, you’re in it, you’re living it, you don’t see it."
The Criminal Minds star stated that he is eager to watch these gifted actors and performers to witness their own performance.
His wife Kathryn Grody, also marked, “I don’t think there’s anything better, That’s my bias, but I’m thrilled that a new generation will be able to see it and have that encouragement about life and art.”
The West End production also cast Ariana Grande in the role originated by Peters.
Notably, the event will take place at the Barbican Centre in the summer of 2027, with tickets going on sale in spring 2026.
