Natasha Lyonne is opening up more about the report that she was escorted off a flight by issuing a second statement on social media.
The Euphoria guest star took to her X to share that she was targeted by ICE and they detained, earning a response from the Department of Homeland Security.
In the lengthy statement, the actress explained that she took a Lunesta when she was seated and was eager for a nap, which coincided with prior reports published by outlets.
Lyonne added, “Was looking forward to seeing Drew & an in depth convo, but I guess ICE had other plans & I was detained instead. Sign of the times, I guess,” referring to her previously scheduled appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.
A spokesperson for the DHS, which TSA operates under, has since stated, “Neither ICE nor TSA escorted or detained Natasha Lyonne.”
Lyonne had previously stated on the platform that her heart is with the unpaid TSA workers, which she has reiterated now, adding that she never had a problem with them or Delta airlines prior to this.
Notably, it is unclear what really occurred but the 47-year-old popped up in New York City and walked the red carpet at the premiere for the Focus Features documentary Lorne, hours after reports blew up about the affair on April 9.
