Kid Cudi is dishing on missing out on a Jordan Peele directed film that received widespread critical acclaim, and how he felt about not being cast.
The rapper opened up about the 2017 horror movie’s lead role that eventually helped propel the career of actor Damiel Kaluuya.
In a recent episode of his Big Bro with Kid Cudi podcast, the musician stated, “I auditioned for Get Out and I really... I read the script and I knew it was about to go, so I really wanted it and I did the audition in front of Jordan [Peele] and he was showing me so much love.”
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, added that he was told by Peele that he did great, “And when I didn't get it, I was so bitter."
The Better Place singer went on to add however, that when he saw the film he realised that Kaluuya was the best pick, and that he killed it.
Cudi remarked that when someone doesn’t get casted for a role it simply isn’t meant for them and that him and the Oscar nominated actor became friends after Get Out.
