Wade Wilson’s disturbing case has been explored in the new three-part documentary Handsome Devil: Charming Killer, following the criminal’s 2024 conviction.

The 31-year-old had committed two gruesome murders within hours and on October 7, 2019, after a past history of crimes like burglary, grand theft and firearms offenses.

Wilson’s first victim was Kristine Melton, whom he strangled at a live music bar and later stole her car, using it to lure in his second victim, Diane Ruiz, a mother of two and a bartender whom he also strangled and then ran over with the stolen vehicle.

The cold-blooded killer gets his moniker as the ‘Deadpool Killer’ due to the similarity of his name to that of the fictional character.

It seems that the infamous killer also has an inclination towards Marvel since while he was under arrest and awaiting trial in 2024, he got numerous tattoos on his face and neck, some of which are references to the beloved comic book movies such as The Dark Knight Rises and Deadpool.

Wilson’s case is especially chilling because he expressed no remorse upon being arrested after he confessed the murders to his biological father Steven Testasecca and later told detectives that he would be willing to do it again.

Notably, the public reception to the case was mixed since some felt sympathy for him after it was confirmed by medical professionals that he suffered from mental health and drug abuse issues.
