Tim Burton shocked everyone as he was featured in the newly released music video of ASAP Rocky’s WHISKEY/BLACK DEMARCO from Don’t Be Dumb.
Along with his appearance on the video, his animated characters were used to give a look at six of ASAP’s personas.
The 67-year-old dozed off in a bar which was followed by a chaos unleashed by punk characters, who are then let loose on the New York streets.
What follows is a hot pursuit of the six cartoons while they try to get away on a toy car.
Each of these, GR1M, MR. MAYERS, RUGAHAND, BABUSHKA BOI, DUMMY and SHIRTHEAD, corresponds to different chapters in the life of the Sundress hitmaker.
The music clip, directed by the visionary director himself, earned a rave review as one of the users on YouTube appreciated the “traditional 2D animation in 2026.”
Another netizen was of the opinion that the musician can easily “host university classes on creating strong visuals.”
A third summarised the video, “everyone just going through a crisis while the cartoons just aura farming”
Apart from the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice creator, ASAP also featured Danny Elfman and Winona Ryder in his newly released masterpieces.
Announced in August 2024, the fourth studio record came out in January 2026 after a delay caused due to leaks and sample clearance issues.
