Dwayne Johnson’s starry day takes unexpected roadside twist

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson had just been celebrating with fellow stars when his day took an unexpected turn.

The 53-year-old actor and WWE icon was left slightly embarrassed after being pulled over by police moments after attending a glamorous Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in Los Angeles.

Officers stopped his vehicle on Thursday over allegedly illegal tinted windows, with law enforcement sources confirming the stop was carried out for breaching California’s strict visibility rules.

In the state, front side windows must allow at least 70% of light through, while rear tinting is more flexible but still regulated. 

A first offence typically results in a small fine and an order to correct the issue, while repeat violations can lead to higher penalties.

Photos from the scene showed Johnson stepping out calmly after speaking with officers, looking stylish in cream trousers and a crisp white shirt, still dressed for the star-studded ceremony.

Earlier that day, he had taken to the stage to honour Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci as they received their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. 

The double ceremony was packed with A-list support, including Blunt’s husband John Krasinski, her sister Felicity Blunt, and Hollywood actor Matt Damon.

During his speech, The Smashing Machine actor joked it was “about time” the pair were honoured, before praising the 43-year-old actress’ warmth and gratitude, saying her positivity brings “joy and peace of mind” to those around her.

Damon also paid tribute, calling the duo “legends” and praising their decades of consistent work and grace under pressure in a notoriously tough industry.
