A$AP Rocky made a striking musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live, delivering live performances from his long-awaited new album Don’t Be Dumb on the January 17 episode, which was hosted by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard.
Rocky stepped onto the iconic Studio 8H stage just one day after releasing his fourth studio album, his first in eight years.
He opened with a punchy solo rendition of the lead single Punk Rocky, before returning later in the show to perform a medley of Helicopter and the project’s title track, offering audiences a dynamic preview of his latest work.
The episode marked a high point in Rocky’s music rollout, with Don’t Be Dumb arriving on January 16 through A$AP Worldwide and RCA Records.
According to People, the album features an array of high-profile collaborators and has already drawn attention for its bold creative direction.
In addition to his musical sets, Rocky participated in one of SNL’s comedy sketches, sharing the screen with Wolfhard and cast members in a playful segment that blended the rapper’s on-stage energy with the show’s signature humour.
Rocky’s SNL appearance not only showcased his new music to a broad television audience but also highlighted his evolution as an artist more than a decade into his career.
With Don’t Be Dumb now available to stream and purchase worldwide, the performance is expected to boost visibility for the project as Rocky continues promoting his music in 2026.
