Finn Wolfhard, following the success of his TV series Stranger Things, got casted as a presenter on Saturday Night Live.

The IT star stepped out on Studio 8H stage with fellow debutant, musical guest A$AP Rocky on January 17.

With the SNL's first episode wrapped up after its annual winter hiatus, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon host, shared how he played a key role in getting Wolfhard the role.

Fallon in an interview with the Entertainment Weekly, revealed that he personally recommended the Hell of a Summer actor to comedy series' creator and producer Lorne Michaels.

The veteran entertainer has himself been a member of the TV program from 1998 to 2004, hence he noted that his several years on the production gave him a "good way in" for making suggestions.

"Finn was my last recommendation," Fallon said. "They have great taste in casting over there, and Lorne does too."

While it was the 23-year-old's first time on NBC's program, he is familiar with it due to starring in Jason Reitman's 2024 biopic, Saturday Night.

Previously, in the first half of season 51 before the Holiday break, the telecast had a number of star-studded celebrities on its stage, including Bad Bunny, Amy Poehler, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande and Cher.

Up next, on January 24, Teyana Taylor will be making her first broadcast appearance along with indie rock band Geese as the musical guest.
