Prince Andrew’s long-anticipated departure from Royal Lodge appears to be quietly underway, with reports claiming his belongings have already been moved into storage as preparations continue for his relocation to the Sandringham Estate.

Although no official date has been announced for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s move, sources suggest plans are progressing behind the scenes.

The disgraced royal, who does not need to vacate Royal Lodge until October 2026, is reportedly set to relocate to Marsh Farm near the village of Wolferton in Norfolk once refurbishment work is complete.

The Sun on Sunday reports that some of Andrew’s possessions have already been removed from the 30-room Windsor property and placed into storage, a clear sign, insiders say, that the move is no longer theoretical.

Despite growing speculation, Buckingham Palace has declined to confirm details of Andrew’s new residence. Per Express UK, a palace source cited privacy and security concerns as the reason for the secrecy.

“There are GDPR and rights of privacy involved, so we will not be providing the name of the property,” the source said. “There are also security issues that are of relevance.”

Marsh Farm, which has been widely tipped as Andrew’s future home, is currently unoccupied and unfurnished. The modest property is said to include two reception rooms, a kitchen and several outbuildings.

Reports suggest the property became a viable option after extended “no-fly” regulations were introduced, providing an added layer of security.

Another Sandringham property previously linked to Andrew was Wood Farm, the late Queen Elizabeth II’s beloved retreat and the home where Prince Philip spent much of his retirement following his withdrawal from royal duties in 2017.

However, according to the Daily Mail, senior royals felt Wood Farm was still “too close” to the main Sandringham House to be suitable for Andrew.
