Rob Reiner's son faces charges after tragic death of director, wife

Rob Reiner and Michele Singer were tragically murdered at their house in Los Angeles while son Nick was being investigated in the case.

According to recent developments, Nick has been taken in to custody and charged with murder of his parents after deaths were confirmed on December 14.

The police source reported that the 32-year-old stabbed the two.

It was revealed by their daughter that the famous director and his wife’s dead bodies were discovered with “throats slit.”

Nick, who was the screenwriter on Being Charlie, has been through rehabilitation after struggling with drug abuse. 

He is currently held on $4 million bail as confirmed by Page Six.

Few years back, the Princess Bride filmmaker worked on documentary Being Charlie and considered it one of the "most personal" projects he had ever done.

Did Rob Reiner create documentary on Nick?

The movie characters were based on Nick’s addiction problems, his journey in rehabilitation and family’s internal problems in general.

Towards the end of the film, it was shown that Rob’s character apologised to his son’s character.

It is to be noted that several fans highlighted his differing political views to be an issue as well, while expressing their sorrow on his tragic demise.
