Rob Reiner, who is known for working on The Princess Bride, and his wife Michele Singer tragically passed away.
Although the 78-year-old and his partner were found by their daughter, Reiner and Michele’s killer has been reportedly identified.
According to People Magazine, their son Nick murdered the couple on December 14, 2025; however, the police department is yet to confirm the reports.
The accused son was struggling with addiction and had to spent time on the streets. His struggles served as an inspiration for documentary Being Charlie.
The autobiographical project gave a glimpse of Nick’s addiction problems and their family issues in general.
Surprisingly, the director’s fictional character issued an apology for his son’s character towards the end of the movie.
It was later revealed by Rob that the scenario was reality-based.
In an interview, the Misery maker revealed that it is the “most personal film of anything” he has ever done.
For Being Charlie, he joined hands with his son who worked as one of the screenwriters on the project.
The same person was named as a prime suspect in homicide of his parents.
The source noted that the Los Angeles Fire Department was contacted for an emergency aid on Sunday at about 3:30 p.m.
After the online community came across the update, one of the X users sighted his differing political views but “I loved his movies.”
Another person, who lives nearby, was saddened as they “drove by there” and recalled one of the “documentary Rob made.”
