Rob and Michele Reiner’s shocking deaths have rocked the Hollywood industry, with countless tributes pouring out from numerous celebrities, including one from the former President of the United States, Barack Obama.
The director and his wife’s passing is being investigated as a homicide by authorities, but before the world receives answers about who the perpetrator was, people are remembering the couple for their contributions and personalities.
Taking to his social media, the politician wrote, “Michelle and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele. Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen.”
“But beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people—and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action. Together, he and his wife lived lives defined by purpose,” Obama wrote.
The father-of-two added that the pair will looked back on for the people they inspired and the values they championed, ending his note by sending his and Michelle’s deepest condolences to those who loved the duo.
Rob was best known for directing films such as The Princess Bride, Misery and A Few Good Men.
