After the 23-year-old donated a huge chunk for a noble cause, Billie broke her silence to address the recent tragedy that occurred in Australia.
The Grammy winner penned down a note on her Instagram as she found a heart-breaking link between the current incident and the Sandy Hook Elementary School mass shooting.
The Ocean Eyes crooner noted that today “is the anniversary of the massacre at Sandy Hook elementary.”
Meanwhile, “we woke up to the news of mass shootings in Australia, at brown university & in Brooklyn.”
The BLUE crooner admitted that the news is “devastating, my heart goes out to all of the victims & their loved ones.”
The musician called people to stand united, “work for change” and dismiss “anyone who’s not willing to reform gun policy.”
On December 14, a mass shooting attack resulted in the death of at least 15 people, leaving many injured.
The situation was taken under control as a civilian intervened to wrestle the gun.
The Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting occurred on December 14, 2012, killing 26 people by Adam Lanza, who first murdered his mother at their home.
