Taylor Swift has just hit another major milestone making Swifties proud.
The global pop star has officially become the world’s richest female musician, overtaking Rihanna.
According to Forbes, Swift’s net worth now stands at an estimated $1.6 billion, pushing past Rihanna’s $1.4 billion fortune.
While Rihanna’s wealth is largely powered by her Fenty Beauty and Savage x Fenty brands, Swift’s money comes mainly from music.
Forbes reports that roughly $600 million of Swift’s fortune is tied to touring and music royalties. Another $600 million is attributed to the value of her music catalogue alone.
She also owns multiple properties across the United States valued at around $125 million.
Swift first earned the title of a billionaire two years back in October 2023 after the historic level success of her Eras Tour and her decision to own her masters.
Kickstarted in march 2023 this tour became the highest-grossing to date and successfully made over $1 billion worldwide. More than 4.3 million tickets had been sold by the end of that same year.
Alongside tours Swift also benefits from re-recording her early albums after Scooter Braun sold her original masters for over $200 million.
Her recent album 'The Tortured Poets Department' stands at No.1 on the Billboard 200 and remained in the spot for 15 weeks selling over 2.4 million copies in 2024 alone.
With Rihanna still dominating beauty industry, Swift now rules music and the billionaire crown.
