Sharon Osbourne recalls heartbreaking moments before Ozzy died
Sharon Osbourne has shared the deeply emotional final moments she spent with her husband, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July at the age of 76 after a heart attack.
Speaking on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the 72-year-old revealed that Ozzy had quietly accepted his fate in the week leading up to his death.
She said the former Black Sabbath frontman spoke of strange, vivid dreams in which he wandered among unfamiliar faces.
“He said, ‘I just keep walking and walking… and these people are looking at me, but nobody’s talking.’ And he knew. He was ready,” Sharon recalled.
Their last night together has left her with haunting what-ifs as Ozzy, restless and unable to sleep, kept getting up.
At around 4.30am, he gently woke her. “He said, ‘Kiss me.’ And then, ‘Hug me tight.’” Hours later, after a short workout downstairs, the Prince of Darkness collapsed.
Sharon said she immediately recognised that her husband had slipped away.
“I ran downstairs and they were trying to resuscitate him. I said, ‘Just leave him. He’s gone.’ I knew instantly.”
Ozzy’s death on July 22 came after years of battling health issues, including Parkinson’s disease, diagnosed in 2019.
His family announced his passing in a heartbreaking statement, saying he died “surrounded by love.”
The loss of the metal icon has rocked fans worldwide, but Sharon’s raw account offers a rare, intimate glimpse into his final moments.
