Adolescence star Owen Cooper has received yet another recognition for his critically acclaimed acting following his Emmy win.
The 15-year-old Netflix breakout star has earned a nod for Best Supporting Actor at the 2026 Golden Globes.
The nominations, announced on Monday, December 8, could make Cooper the youngest ever recipient once again.
At the recent Emmy Awards held on September 14, Cooper won his first Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Adolescence.
The rising star became the youngest ever recipient in the history of the TV Academy Awards.
Owen, alongside co-stars Stephen Graham, Erin Doherty, and Ashley Walters, helped the Netflix hit rack up an impressive five nominations ahead of the star-studded LA ceremony, set to take place in January 2026.
If Owen takes home the award, surpassing co-star Ashley as well as White Lotus’s Jason Isaacs and Walton Goggins, he would dethrone Chris Colfer, who still holds the record as the youngest Best Supporting Actor in a Series for his 2009 win as Kurt on Glee at just 20.
