Julia Roberts splits love for husband Danny Moder with Sean Penn

Julia Roberts and Sean Penn have together voiced admiration for Julia’s husband, Danny Moder.

The Gaslit costars united again for Variety & CNN’s Actors on Actors season 23, where they talked about their shared interests.

During their discussion, the Mystic River star recounted the first interaction with Julia, "I’m thinking back to New York — the Mayflower Hotel during the shooting of The Pope of Greenwich Village.

"You were Eric’s little sister. I’d heard about you, but you must have been a teenager."

"Yes. I still am," quipped the 58-year-old star. Penn worked alongside Julia’s older brother Eric Roberts in the 1984 film.

The Oscar-winning actress further joked that they share "love" for Moder, 56.

To which Penn added, "I remember him telling me you were doing a movie and Danny was handholding a camera.

"He’s focused on his work and getting in a corner, followed by the description, ‘That was the sexiest thing on earth.'"

Notably,  the pair had portrayed the married couple Martha and John Mitchell on the 2022 Starz limited series Gaslit.
