Prince William reunites with Claudia Schiffer 30 years after Diana introduced them

German supermodel Claudia Schiffer was one of the 152 guests at the Windsor Castle on December 3.

The supermodel was invited along with her husband, Sir Matthew Vaughn, at the state banquet which was held in honour of German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and first lady Elke Büdenbender’s honour.

The German couple landed in London on December 3 for a state visit, their first to UK in 27 years.

At the event, William, who was accompanied by his wife Kate Middleton, reunited with the model who he met at his birthday party in the 90s.

As per British model Naomi Campbell, the late Diana organised a model get together for her then-teenage son William’s birthday.

The surprise included Claudia, Naomi and Christy Turlington who surprised a very young prince after he came home from school.

Later in 2017, William recalled the incident in Diana, Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy, saying he turned “bright red” when he saw the models.

“I was probably a 12 or 13-year-old boy who had posters of them on his wall”, William said.

Claudia later married the English film director in 2002 and has been residing in UK.
