Sarah Paulson, who lost her dear friend, Diane Keaton in October burst into tears amid her heartfelt tribute at the Hollywood Reporter’s event.

The 50-year-old actress attended the Hollywood Reporter's 2025 Women in Entertainment gala on December 3 in California.

The star-studded event, which was held at The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills honored Sherry Lansing, a Leadership Award, and Jennifer Lopez, with an Equity in Entertainment Award.

During the award show, the Ocean's 8 star, alongside Goldie Hawn recalled their decade long friendship with Annie Hall actress.

Sarah started the speech as she read Diane’s voicemail that were left unheard and concluded the tribute with a message, she long to send the late fellow actress.

She stated, “Sarah, I hate your phone. It is always full and I can never leave a message,… What makes you so fucking popular?... I’ve tried calling you so many times, it’s creepy… Do you have some secret phone number?”

All's Fair’s lead actress also then added her reply as she expressed her gratitude, “Dear Dum-Dum, I wanna tell you I’m sorry my voicemail was always full. I’m sorry I wasn’t available by the time you called. I want to tell you how the world lost its mind with grief the day you died.”

She added that she will miss her forever and wants to tell her everything that has happened since the day she left and the past 54 days has been “crummier” for her without Diane in it.

The fans felt every word as one wrote, “breaks my heart she lost someone so close to her.”

Another netizen wrote, “It took me 10 minutes to pull myself together after that.”

For the unversed, the actresses became friends after they work together in 1999 for the movie, The Other Sister.
