Sarah Ferguson says Prince William, Kate made her feel worthless with major snub

Sarah Ferguson is revisiting one of the most painful moments in her royal history, and it all centers around Prince William and Princess Kate's 2011 wedding.

While Prince Andrew and their daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were front-and-center for the historic day, Sarah was completely left off the guest list, a decision that reportedly left her devastated and feeling “worthless.”

Opening up in her 2011 interview with Oprah Winfrey, the former duchess explained: "I was not invited, and I chose to go and be in Thailand in a place called Camelia and...the jungle embraced me.”

She admitted the exclusion hit her hard, especially seeing her girls take part without her: “It was so difficult. I wanted to be there with my girls, and to be getting them dressed and to go as a family. And also, it was so hard because the last bride up that aisle was me."

Sarah, who once shared a warm relationship with Princess Diana and watched William grow up, confessed the snub made her feel “worthless”, though she said Andrew reassured her at the time.

She also acknowledged that the couple had valid reasons not to invite her, given she had only recently been embroiled in a scandal after being caught offering access to Prince Andrew for £500,000 to an undercover reporter.

William and Kate have never commented publicly on Sarah, but insiders say the couple has kept a deliberate distance that has reportedly grown even wider as new controversies involving both Sarah and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor have surfaced in recent months.
