Amanda Seyfried is set to be honored with the Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress at the Palm Springs International Film Awards. 

The ceremony will take place on Jan. 3 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, as the festival runs from Jan. 2 through Jan. 12. The award celebrates Seyfried’s performance as Ann Lee in Mona Fastvold’s The Testament of Ann Lee

Festival chairman Nachhattar Singh Chandi praised her work, saying, “In ‘The Testament of Ann Lee,’ Amanda Seyfried delivers a masterful performance, one that is haunting in its emotional intensity and profoundly human in its truth. Across her remarkable career, she has continued to evolve, take bold risks, and elevate every story she inhabits. We are honored to present her with the Desert Palm Achievement Award, Actress.”

Seyfried joins a star-studded list of honorees this year, including Michael B. Jordan with the Icon Award, Leonardo DiCaprio receiving the Desert Palm Achievement Award for Actor, Ethan Hawke with the Career Achievement Award, and Adam Sandler taking home the Chairman’s Award.

The actress has a notable history in Hollywood, having previously won an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a Critics’ Choice Award for her role as Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu’s The Dropout. 

She also earned Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for her portrayal of Marion Davies in David Fincher’s Mank.

Fans can look forward to seeing Seyfried celebrated in Palm Springs as the festival kicks off in early January.
