Jessie J has set the internet buzzing after fans became convinced she took a swipe at Katy Perry in her new song Complicated from the album Don’t Tease Me With a Good Time.

The 37-year-old singer reflects on her early rise to fame in the deeply personal song addressing moments when she felt judged, misunderstood, and pressured by the industry.

Jessie doesn’t name anyone outright but listeners insist the reference is too pointed to ignore given both artists’ prominence at the time.
