Duchess Sophie wins hearts in Oxfordshire
The Duchess of Edinburgh visited organisations in Edinburgh yesterday
Duchess Sophie is receiving praise for her noble work in Oxfordshire.
The Duchess of Edinburgh visited the county in South East England on November 26.
During the visit to perform her royal duties, Sophie vvisited organisations to show support for the local communities.
The official Instagram of the royal family shared snaps of the visit online which included pictures of the duchess interacting with locals.
The caption read “The Duchess of Edinburgh visited organisations in Oxfordshire yesterday, celebrating their support for local communities.”
It further listed all the organisations Sophie visited during her trip to the county.
One of the communities was Windale Community Hub which the royal visited to hear “about vital services addressing food poverty and social isolation, including food banks, tech classes and family activities.”
A Raw Workshop, Sophie learned how the organisation works to train and give mental health support to young people facing challenges such as homelessness and addiction.
The last listed organisation was Ronald McDonald House, where the Duchess met the children receiving treatment and the families staying in the charity’s “home away from home” accommodation during hospital care.
