Meghan Markle 'styling' herself as 'anti-royal rebel' after latest move

Meghan Markle has found herself at the centre of criticism once again after her recent interview revealed that she introduced herself with her royal title, despite not being allowed to use it on a commercial level.

The new PR disaster created by the Duchess of Sussex has made her the target in the royal circles once again. Now, a commentator has said that the former actor wants to “style herself as a royal rebel.”

In Meghan’s recent Harper’s Bazaar interview, the writer, Kaitlyn Greenidge, revealed that a house manager announced the former royal’s arrival into an empty room, using her ‘duchess’ title.

She wrote: “We’re in a grand brownstone on the Upper East Side that belongs to one of Meghan’s friends. When I enter, the house manager announces, ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex,’ even though we appear to be the only other two people in the house.”

Commenting on that, Sky News contributor Louise Roberts said: “She likes to style herself as the anti-royal rebel; she didn’t want to do any of the royal duties, but she still wants the title. It is a PR disaster…it says so much about her ambitions and her self-perception, it’s bizarre.”

The Suits star has been slammed time and time again, over her use of royal titles for her commercial ventures, including gift baskets for her brand, As Ever, as well as podcast appearances.
