Ed Sheeran might be one of the most-streamed artists on the planet, but at home, his daughters prefer Disney classics over their dad’s own songs.
The singer says Lyra, 5, and Jupiter, 3, always ask for the Moana soundtrack.
“They like certain songs. When I sing the Moana soundtrack it goes down well,” the 34-year-old singer and father said. “Yesterday I sang them a new song and they were like ‘can you sing Moana’.”
Reports claimed Swift’s rollout for The Life of a Showgirl, announced just two weeks after Ed’s new album Play, caused friction between both singers. A source suggested it wasn’t the first time their timings collided.
“Ed takes these things really seriously, and carefully plans his album releases… but then Taylor announced her's for just two weeks after. It left his team scrabbling to get as much attention before her's dropped,” an insider claimed.
Swift recently told The Tonight Show that Ed learned about her engagement to Travis Kelce through her Instagram post, explaining, “That's so true,” before explaining, “He doesn't have a phone… You have to email him or FaceTime him, and he has to find an iPad.”
Ed has now dismissed any feud, joking that he has “got rid of the iPad as well,” and insisting, “Me and Taylor are mates… we lock back in to where we left off.”
