Kim Kardashian has reportedly turned down a rare request from Mackenzie Shirilla, who referenced the socialite in a jailhouse call about her criminal case.
In a jailhouse call reported by the outlet, Shirilla expressed hope that the SKIMS founder would take part in her legal defense, citing the heavy media attention surrounding her case.
“I don’t know. You have to figure it out because I’m nervous and I want Kim Kardashian to be my lawyer,” she said in the call, per People magazine.
The conversation went further, with another person on the line adding, "We're gonna have her get you out," to which Shirilla responded by making her case in the most Kardashian-friendly way possible, "Tell her I buy all her SKIMS and I only wear SKIMS."
Shirilla also expressed hope that the media buzz would catch Kardashian's attention.
"Maybe Kim will see it," the other person on the call said, with Shirilla adding, "That's the only thing that might be good about the whole media thing."
However, according to TMZ, Kardashian has declined the request.
For those unfamiliar, Shirilla is serving two 15-years-to-life sentences after being convicted in August 2023 of murder and other charges in a crash that killed her boyfriend and his friend.
The case later gained major attention after appearing in the Netflix documentary The Crash.
