Taylor Swift will reportedly skip the 2026 American Music Awards even as she topping the nominations list with eight entries.
According to People magazine, the artist has earned major nominations, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year, for her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, extending her record breaking AMAs run.
It is pertinent to mention, the songstress already holds 40 AMA wins.
As per Daily Mail, she will miss the May 25 event in Las Vegas due to personal priorities ahead of her upcoming wedding to NFL player Travis Kelce, with the pair remaining in the public eye since their 2025 engagement.
For the unfamiliar, the Opalite hitmaker last attended a major awards show in March at the iHeartRadio Music Awards alongside her fiancé Kelce, where she secured several wins from her nominations.
She previously skipped last year’s American Music Awards as well, despite multiple nominations for The Tortured Poets Department.
The 2026 AMAs will broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+.
