Stewart McLean’s body has been found after reports of the actor being missing were announced by the police.
The Virgin River actor’s death is being viewed as a possible homicide, and Canada's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has issued an official statement about the case.
In the press conference, the authorities stated, "As the investigation continues to unfold, homicide investigators are working to collect and analyze evidence, review CCTV footage and conduct interviews to build a timeline of Mr. McLean's activities prior to May 15, 2026.”
IHIT Cpl. Esther Tupper added in the media release, “We are pursuing all available leads as we work to find answers for the family, friends and loved ones of Mr. McLean,” adding that they believe Stewart’s disappearance is an “isolated incident.”
The police department's spokesperson also noted that they had started looking for the now-deceased 45-year-old ever since he was reported missing.
Stewart’s passing was confirmed by Lucas Talent Inc. in a statement on Facebook, and was written by a talent agent, Jodi Caplan.
The Murder in a Small Town star was remembered as a dedicated and professional individual that was always a pleasure to deal with, adding that he was a pleasure to deal with and someone who will be deeply missed.
