Princess Anne gave honorary degrees to recipients in the University of London.
After speaking at the World Horse Welfare Conference 2025 on Saturday, the princess turned to the university for a big visit.
Anne honoured five individuals with honorary degrees in their respective fields.
The official Instagram of the royal family shared pictures from the event.
The pictures of Anne were shared with the caption “The Princess Royal, as Chancellor of the University of London, conferred honorary degrees on five honorary graduates for distinguished achievements in their respective fields.”
First recipient was Sir Terry Waite, who is the founder of Hostage International.
Sir Terry was “captured while seeking the release of hostages in Lebanon and spent almost five years in solitary confinement.”
Another recipient was Susannah Schofield, who established the John Schofield Trust in memory of her husband John Schofield, who was killed in Croatia.
Other three to recieve the honour included Professor Sir Hilary Beckles, Kumar Mangalam Birla, and the Reverend Philip Goff.
