American pop star Ariana Grande stars in the sequel of Wicked alongside her co-star Cynthia Erivo.
The two will reprise their role of Glinda and Elphaba in Wicked: For Good.
The duo grew closer during the filming and promotions of the two movies which gave birth to many memes.
Most of the discourse was based on the closeness of the two stars who are often seen holding hands publicly.
Ariana addressed the discourse while making an appearance on Amy Poehler’s podcast Good Hang.
The Side to Side singer got straight to the point admitting that she is “always holding a hand, always squeezing something”.
The pop star commented on it saying they “worked hard to maintain” it.
She added “we’re both so busy but do our best to stay connected in that way and to take care of each other so we can honor the project as much as humanly possible.”
Cynthia’s move to protect Ariana at the Singapore premier elevated the discourse as the actress jumped in even before security to protect her co-star when she was jumped on by a crowd member.
