Elon Musk, Cristiano Ronaldo join Donald Trump’s event

US President Donald Trump hosted a dinner at the White House for Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman on November 18.

As reported earlier there were rumours of Portugese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo to join the dinner which he later did.

Along with Ronaldo, tech billionaire Elon Musk was also at the event causing speculations of his and Trump’s current relationship as they recently had a fall out after Trump won the 2024 elections.

Ronaldo was at the event along with the Saudi prince for his contributions of uplifting football culture in Saudi as he leads the Saudi club Al Nassr FC.

It was also the athlete’s first high-profile appearance in the country in over a decade where the next football world cup is set to be played in 2026.

In the pre-dinner speech, Trump said “You know, my son is a big fan of Ronaldo,” referring to his 19-year-old son Barron who had the opportunity to meet the player.

In a recent interview, Ronaldo expressed his admiration for Trump and said he would like to “have a long discussion about world peace” with him.

Next year, Ronaldo will play his 6th world cup for Portugal that is set to take place in US.
