A fresh dispute has reportedly erupted between Prince Harry and Buckingham Palace, following revelations that the Duke of Sussex’s team may have misrepresented whether the Royal Family had been notified about his recent trip to Canada.
Harry’s office initially insisted that the Palace had been informed “as a courtesy” ahead of his visit, which coincided with Prince William’s high-profile five-day COP30 tour in Brazil.
But palace insiders say this notification never happened.
According to The Times, no one at Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace had received any communication about Harry’s travel plans.
The source cited by the outlet described the claim that the Palace was briefed as “a bit rum”, with insiders suggesting the situation has caused notable irritation behind palace walls.
The tension reportedly began when Harry publicly announced he would be travelling to Toronto to mark “Remembrancetide”, just hours after the Prince of Wales arrived in Brazil to champion the Earthshot Prize.
Despite media inquiries, Harry’s team has not said when the Palace was supposedly informed, nor who was allegedly contacted about the Duke’s Commonwealth visit.
During his time in Canada, Harry met soldiers from the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, the Royal Regiment of Canada, and veterans at Sunnybrook Hospital.
But his visit was overshadowed when photos emerged of him and Meghan attending Kris Jenner’s glamorous 70th birthday party in Los Angeles the night before Remembrance Sunday.
