Melissa Gilbert is raising an eyebrow over Megyn Kelly’s disturbing remarks over Jeffrey Epstein’s underage victims.
The attorney claimed on her podcast that the infamous sex offender was into teens, not girls under the age of ten.
I'm definitely not trying to make an excuse for this. I'm just giving you facts, that he wasn't into, like, 8-year-olds,but he liked the very young teen types that could pass for even younger than they were, but would look legal to a passerby,” she stated during The Megyn Kelly Show.
The journalist later added, “There's a difference between a 15-year-old and a 5-year-old, you know?” a remark that has mortified a vast majority of netizens and even given birth to the hashtag #iWasFifteen.
It has snowballed into a trend in which women share pictures of them at 15, and Melissa has also joined in on it.
The actress noted that she looked herself up at 15 and was reminded of her role in the film Little House on the Prairie, in which she had to share a kiss with Dean Butler, who was 23 at the time.
Melissa talked about how she was lucky she had a good support system around her and didn’t get taken advantage of but that she felt nauseated by the age gap now, and how its shocking now whereas it was alright back when the film was released in 1979.
The 61-year-old asked Megyn to be careful with her words, which is a gentler rebuke than most people had on the internet.
