Charli XCX has returned with a chilling new track, Chains of Love, from the upcoming Wuthering Heights film soundtrack.
Just days after unveiling the gothic collaboration House with John Cale of The Velvet Underground, the pop superstar is giving fans another taste of her dark, cinematic reinvention.
The erotic drama, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, is set to premiere in 2026, with Charli’s brooding ballad perfectly setting the tone for the film’s new trailer.
House, co-written with Finn Keane, features a spoken-word contribution from Cale himself, which the songstress described as “so elegant, so brutal” it left her in tears.
The 33-year-old singer-songwriter revealed she was approached by director Emerald Fennell in late 2024.
“After being so in the depths of my previous album, I was excited to escape into something entirely new,” she said.
“When I think of Wuthering Heights, I think of passion, pain, mud, cold, determination and grit.”
Aside from her music, the 360 hitmaker is expanding into film, starring in A24’s The Moment and appearing in multiple upcoming projects, including remakes and indie thrillers.
The Wuthering Heights soundtrack is slated for release on February 13, 2026, promising a darkly passionate musical journey fans won’t want to miss.
