King Charles and Queen Camilla have quietly updated their official social media profiles in a touching nod to Remembrance Day, continuing a modern royal tradition that honours Britain’s fallen heroes.
As of November 5, the monarch and his wife’s official Instagram, X, and Facebook pages now feature new profile and cover photos to mark the solemn season of remembrance.
The change, introduced under Charles’ reign, has become a digital tradition for the royal household each November.
This year’s profile image shows the King and Queen attending a Remembrance Day service at Canada’s National War Memorial in 2009, while the cover photo displays a field of red poppies adorned with the words “Lest we forget” beside the Royal Coat of Arms.
The updates come ahead of the annual Remembrance Sunday service at London’s Cenotaph, which Charles will lead alongside working members of the Royal Family.
