Prince Harry enjoyed a heartwarming moment in Toronto as part of his solo Remembrance Week visit to Canada.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, stopped by the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre’s Veterans Centre on Thursday, where he met with WWII and Korean War veterans.

Harry toured the facility’s Creative Arts Room, where veterans showcased hand-painted helmets that will be auctioned later at the True Patriot Love Foundation’s National Tribute Dinner.

Among the veterans Harry met was Brenda Reid, a remarkable 101-year-old Royal Canadian Navy veteran who served at a women-run naval base in Nova Scotia during World War II.

When the Duke asked her about wartime memories, Reid playfully replied: “You can’t always believe the boys.”

The Duke laughed warmly, engaging with residents and thanking them for their service.
