Fatima Bosch, who is representing Mexico at the 2025 Miss Universe event, was called “dumb” by Thailand director which sparked massive backlash.
In the recent turn of events, Nawat Itsaragrisil apologised publicy on stage for the mishap but seemingly ended up creating more mess.
A video shows the organiser bursting into tears and later addressing the crowd about why he had an outburst.
He explained: “I think you must understand that the pressure is a lot. I am human.”
Nawat admitted being a human, “Sometimes I cannot control. But, by the way I had not intend to harm anyone” as he "respects" everyone.
“I am so sorry [that] it happened,” apologising “to the delegates” if “anyone [was] affected and not comfortable [with what] happened.”
However, the online community did not seem to have any sympathy for the sobbing organiser.
One of the users noted that the “apology lacks sincerity, not addressing the mistake he made” and “no formal apology to Miss Mexico.”
Another netizen was of the opinion that “if you are not able to control, you may not be suitable for the role,” while a third fan wanted a “public apology to Miss Mexico before apologising to everyone else.”
During the meeting earlier, Nawat ended up calling out the model for being absent for a sponsored shoot that was scheduled.
On the other hand, Fatima maintained that she would not remain silence and let the entire world know about the situation that she faced.
